How to use the mark so it stays itself. The whole kit downloads from Kit ↓.

The mark

A true Greek kappa — GFS Neohellenic Bold (Kosmos is a Greek word) — with three stars in its open pockets. Two cuts, chosen by size: the bare kappa carries the smallest duties (it is the favicon), the starred mark carries display and nav sizes.

bare kappa bare — 16–24px, favicon
starred kappa starred — 24px and up

Clear space

The tiled badge carries its own ground; give it at least one big-star diameter (≈15% of the mark's height) of empty space on every side. The inline and themed cuts are flush to the ink by design — the app supplies the padding in CSS.

Minimum size

16px for the bare kappa, 24px for the starred mark — below that the stars crowd the letter and read as noise.

Colour

The mark is monochrome: white on the night tile, ink on light, starlight on dark. For theme-following surfaces, inline the inline cuts and set CSS color — they follow. Gold is the palette's accent, never a mark colour.

Don't

  • Stretch, rotate, or recolour the mark outside the palette.
  • Add a fourth star, or move or resize the three — the constellation is fixed.
  • Put stars on favicon-size renders; below 24px the bare kappa carries it.
  • Set the wordmark in another face — it's GFS Neohellenic Bold, the mark's own.
  • Load the inline cuts through <img> where they must follow the theme — currentColor only cascades to inline SVG.
